We are proud to have items available from Homer Laughlin's Eggshell Georgian collection and the Crooksville China Company. Crooksville China Company, in existence from 1902 to 1959, was established in Crooksville, Ohio, a town known as the pottery capital of the world in the early 20th century.

Ridgway pottery has been made in the Staffordshire district in England since 1808 by a series of companies with the name Ridgway.  Staffordshire pottery produced an earthenware called “White Granite," a great material for dinnerware because it looked like china but was as tough as ironstone. This piece, as well as designs by Homer Laughlin, Meito, and Noritake are included.

When Pope Gosser China was established in 1902, the company made their products with a European clay mix before switching to American clay. Their plates and chinaware developed a great reputation for largely resisting signs of age and wear and tear, such as cracking and chipping. This rental includes Pope Gosser as well as other appealing designs.

Large oval bowls

The Morimura Brothers formed Nippon Toki Kaisha Ltd in 1904 in Noritake, the Japanese island of Honshu. Between 1890 and 1921 the company marked their export china with "Nippon," before the McKinley Tariff act demanded the word "Japan" be used. We are proud to have some of these historically significant bowls available for you.

Our Nautilus bowls were produced in the early 1940s as part of the The Household Institute line of the Homer Laughlin China Company. This creamy Priscilla design with deep floral accents provide a pop of color to tablescapes.

The elegance of Noritake and Meito in this selection are equally matched by our Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther offering. After opening his factory in the Bavarian town of Hohenburg in 1814, Hutschenreuther solicited artists, craftsmen, and sculptors from across the European continent. Primarily focusing on quality and design, the company grew into a competitive firm that produced dinnerware services ideal for fine dining.
